LEGO® Serious Play® Method for Children

LSP.jpg

The purpose of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method is to change “lean backwards meetings” to “lean forward meetings” , where the result is more participation, more insights surfaced, more engagement and, ultimately, more commitment and faster implementations.

In classrooms, some students are used to "lean backward" and not willing to participate in discussions.  This often results in slowing down their learning progress.  By appling various concepts in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Method, the lesson engages students and allows them to think deeper and at the same time, gain more insights from other participants.  The curriculum is also designed to relate back to their daily life so that it helps clarify students' responsibilities in their various roles in school and at home.

We aim to let the students know:

  • No one in the group has all the answers to our challenges.  The answer is dependent on hearing all voices in the room.

  • Working as a team, even in business organization, very often, we are unable to achieve the highest effectiveness as we often leave knowledge untapped in participants.

  • We live in a complex world.  Our future needs each of them to contribute and speak out results in a more sustainable environment.

The process is highly effective because:

1. Every participant uses the same set of LEGO® bricks which serve as a common language that anyone can use.

2. We always start from individual's answer. The process requires 100% focus as everyone as to be active all the time during the workshop.

3. The process fosters faster communication and better understanding because it uses 3D visualization and stories.

4. During the process, we stay on topic because focus is on the model – not on the person. This allows participants to feel more comfortable in sharing their ideas.

Our workshops are 5 x 1.5 hours per week.  Please contact us for more details.
